Class of Covid-19 - The Unexpected Homeschoolers

Welcome to our world

Across the UK thousands of families homeschool their children every year. For some this will be because they have a moral objection to the curriculum, for others it will be for practical or health reasons. For others it will be because their child was unhappy in school, were struggling with the teaching or were being held back by class sizes.

For the Class of Covid-19 the reason is very simple - with the risk of coronavirus in schools, many parents are finding it safer to keep their children at home.

This is an exhausting, stressful and immensely challenging time. As you search the internet and see all the historically happy homeschoolers, please remember that what they were doing is NOT what you were doing. They had time to plan, to decide what to do. They also had access to the wider world - museums, castles, exhibitions, clubs, societies... You are likely to have ever-tightening restrictions, and may even be limited to your own home. What you are doing is HARD, but we are here to help.

Homeschooling can be rewarding, fulfilling and encouraging. You get the opportunity of seeing your children grow, of working alongside them and watching their interests spark. We want to support you to see this side of homeschooling, and to minimise the stress on your family. If you have any questions about homeschooling, or would like to discuss your options, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
